Welcome to Online Tree Transit Permission (FOTTP) web application of H P Forest Department. This application is designed for according, on line Transit Permit (Pass) to the individuals/ agency, for transportation of timber/forest produce obtained from felling of trees permitted on line/or otherwise by a competent authority for the trees standing on Private Lands/Non Forest Government Lands/Forest Lands (where permission has been granted by Govt. of India under the provisions of Forest Conservation Act 1980, as a part of Ease of Doing Business in HP. To seek Tree Transit Permit online, an Individual/ Firm/ Company need to apply on this portal especially for the timber obtained from the trees felled using the FOTFP software (Forest Online Tree Felling permission) in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This software is not meant for according transit pass for any other reason other than those specified above (especially private sale is not permitted). This software is also not meant for the species which have been exempted from the purview of Sec 41, 42 of Indian Forest Act 1927 and the Rules made there under. As part of state policy no fuel wood will be allowed to be transported outside the state of HP.

2. List of species of trees exempted from seeking Tree Transit Permission under HP Transit Rules 1972 and rules made there under and subsequent amendments. There will be no restriction on the export/ transport of the timber obtained from the Exempted spp as specified in the Govt. Notification dated. FFE-B-A(3)-4/2016 dated 20.04.2017. Hence, OTTP for these species shall not be applied for, as they are fully exempted which are listed as under:

i. Copy of approval of felling permission generated online from Online Tree Felling Software/any other approval of the competent authority of HP Forest department/ Approval received from GoI under FCA 1980 (In case Forest Land has been diverted under the provisions of FCA only).
ii. Proof of ownership (Land Revenue Papers) in case of Private lands/Non Forest Govt. Lands
iii. Scanned legible copy of the application duly signed by the applicant uploaded on the site indicating there in clearly the species and abstract of the trees felled and timber/other forest produce obtained there from along with the description of timber, and the purpose for which the trees have been felled and purpose for which transit permission is sought for duly authenticated by the owner himself.
iv. In case a Non-Forest Govt. Land is involved, the timber shall be either sold to HPSFDC Ltd., or will be used only for Departmental Purposes. So, the Transit Permission shall be sought for only keeping in view the above purposes and proof there of shall be uploaded.
v. Photo Identity (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Ration Card, Driving License, Employee ID Card, Voter ID Card, and any other authentic document as admissible in all Govt. Transactions and issued by a competent authority etc.) So, the Transit Permission will be issued only keeping in view the above purposes. No sale of such timber/Forest Produce is permitted at any cost.
